Spc. Nicholas J. Zangara, 21, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Zangara died in Tikrit, Iraq, when an improvised explosive
device detonated near his convoy vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Infantry
Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on July 24, 2004.

Spc. Mark Anthony Zapata, 27, of Edinburg, Texas. Zapata died in Najaf, Iraq as a result of hostile fire. He was
assigned to 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on August 15, 2004.

Sgt. 1st Class Mickey E. Zaun
, 27, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Zaun died in Mosul, Iraq, from injuries sustained in a
collision between two armored vehicles. He was assigned to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg,
North Carolina. Died on January 28, 2005.

Pfc. Kenneth E. Zeigler II,
22, of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. Zeigler died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive
device detonated near his military vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry
Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on May 12, 2005.

Pfc. Nicholaus E. Zimmer, 20, of Columbus, Ohio. Zimmer died in Kufa, Iraq, when his vehicle came under attack by
rocket-propelled grenades. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 37th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Division,
Friedburg, Germany. Died on May 30, 2004.
