Maryland. Died on August 12, 2003.
Spc. Blain M. Ebert, 22, of Washtucna, Washington. Ebert died in Baghdad, Iraq, when enemy forces engaged his unit
with small arms fire. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort
Hood, Texas. Died on November 22, 2004.
Sgt. Gary A. Eckert, Jr., 24, of Toledo, Ohio. Eckert died in Balad, Iraq, from injuries sustained earlier that day in
Samarra, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV. He was assigned to the Army
Reserve's 983rd Engineer Battalion, Monclova, Ohio. Died on May 8, 2005.
Sgt. William C. Eckhart, 25, of Rocksprings, Texas. Eckhart died in Baqubah, Iraq when he was on an anti-mortar
mission and there was an explosion of unknown origin. He was assigned to 4th Cavalry, 1st Infantry Division,
Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on April 10, 2004.
1st Lt. William A. Edens, 29, of Columbia, Missouri. Edens died in Tal Afar, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device
detonated near his Stryker military vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade,
25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Fort Lewis, Washington. Died on April 28, 2005.
Spc. Marshall L. Edgerton, 27, of Rocky Face, Georgia. Edgerton was killed when his camp in Ar Ramadi, Iraq was
attacked with an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to Company A, 82nd Signal Battalion, 82nd Airborne
Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on December 11, 2003.
Pfc. Shawn C. Edwards, 20, of Bensenville, Illinois. Edwards died in Samarra, Iraq, when his convoy vehicle hit an
improvised explosive device. He was assigned to 121st Signal Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, Kitzingen, Germany. Died
on April 23, 2004.
Staff Sgt. Kyle A. Eggers, 27, of Euless, Texas. Eggers died in Habbaniyah, Iraq, when his vehicle was struck by an
improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 2d Infantry Division, Camp
Greaves, Korea. Died on December 5, 2004.
Spc. Andrew C. Ehrlich, 21, of Mesa, Arizona. Ehrlich died in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, of non-combat related injuries. He was
assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck, Germany. Died on October 18, 2004.
Pfc. Wyatt D. Eisenhauer, 26, of Pinckneyville, Illinois. Eisenhauer died in Mahmudiyah, Iraq, on an escort mission in a
HMMWV when an improvised explosive device detonated on a bridge. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 70th Armor,
3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division, Fort Riley, Kansas. Died on May 19, 2005.
Sgt. Aaron C. Elandt, 23, of Lowell, Michigan. Elandt died in Al Musayyib, Iraq, when his vehicle hit an improvised
explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Division, Baumholder,
Germany. Died on May 30, 2004.
Spc. William R. Emanuel IV, 19, of Stockton, California. Emanuel was looking for survivors in the Iraqi National Guard
Headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq after it was destroyed by a suicide car bomber, when it came under a mortar attack. He
was assigned to 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on July 8, 2004.
Sgt. Christian P. Engeldrum, 39, of Bronx, New York. Engeldrum died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his military vehicle
struck an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry
Regiment, New York, New York. Died on November 29, 2004.
Spc. Peter G. Enos, 24, of South Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Enos died in Bayji, Iraq, when a rocket-propelled grenade
struck his patrol vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, in
Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on April 9, 2004.
Pfc. Analaura Esparza-Gutierrez, 21, of Houston, Texas. Esparza-Gutierrez was in a convoy that was hit by an
improvised explosive device and rocket propelled grenades in Tikrit, Iraq. Esparza-Gutierrez died of her injuries. She
was assigned to A Company, 4th Forward Support Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on October 1, 2003.
Sgt. Adam W. Estep, 23, of Campbell, California. Estep died in Baghdad, Iraq, when a rocket-propelled grenade hit his
patrol. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on April
29, 2004.
Pvt. Ruben Estrella-Soto, 18, of El Paso, Texas. Killed in action after his convoy was ambushed in Iraq on March 23,
2003. He was assigned to the 507th Maintenance Company, Fort Bliss, Texas.
Spc. Michael S. Evans II, 22, of Marrero, .Louisiana. Evans died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive
device struck a nearby vehicle. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1088th Engineer Battalion, 256th Brigade
Combat Team, New Roads, Louisiana. Died on January 28, 2005.
Pvt. David Evans, Jr., 18, of Buffalo, New York.Evans was killed in an explosion at a facility which contained Iraqi
ammunition in Ad Diwaniyah, Iraq. Evans and another soldier were performing security at the site when their steel
shelter collapsed during the initial explosion. The rest of the squad returned after the first explosion and extracted the
other soldier, but Pvt. Evans remains could not be located until several hours later. Evans was assigned to the 977th
Military Police Company, Fort Riley, Kansas. Died on May 25, 2003.
Pfc. Jeremy Ricardo Ewing, 22, of Miami, Florida. Ewing died in Baghdad, Iraq, when a vehicle approached his unit
and the driver detonated a bomb. He was assigned to 4th Battalion, 27th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Armored Division,
Baumholder, Germany. Died on April 29, 2004.
Sgt. Justin L. Eyerly, 23, of Salem, Oregon. Eyerly died in Baghdad, Iraq, when individuals using improvised explosive
devices and rocket-propelled grenades attacked his convoy. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 2nd
Battalion, 162nd Infantry, Cottage Grove, Oregon. Died on June 4, 2004.
