forces using a rocket-propelled grenade and small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry
Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on November 9, 2004.

Sgt. Christopher J. Babin, 27, of Houma, Louisiana. Babin died in Baghdad, Iraq when an improvised explosive device
struck his Bradley fighting vehicle. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 256th Infantry Brigade (Mechanized),
Lafayette, Louisiana. Died on January 6, 2005.

Sgt. 1st Class Henry A. Bacon, 45, of Wagram, North Carolina. Bacon died in Ad Dujayl, Iraq, when he was struck by a
recovery vehicle while he was assisting a disabled vehicle. Bacon was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters
Troop, 1st Squadron, 10th Armored Cavalry Regiment, 4th Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
Died on February 20, 2004.

Sgt. Andrew Joseph Baddick, 26, of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. Baddick drowned as he tried to rescue another
soldier whose vehicle had entered a canal near Abu Ghraib Prison, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th
Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on September 29, 2003.

Staff Sgt. Daniel A. Bader, 28, of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bader was on board a CH-47 Chinook Helicopter when
it went down in Al Fallujah, Iraq. The cause of the incident is unknown and an investigation is underway. Bader was
assigned to Air Defense Artillery Battery, 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on
November 2, 2003.

Staff Sgt. Nathan J. Bailey, 46, of Nashville, Tennessee. Bailey died from a non-hostile gunshot wound in Camp
Arifjan, Kuwait. He was assigned to the 1175th Transportation Company, Army National Guard, Tullahoma, Tennessee.
Died on November 12, 2003.

Spc. Brian K. Baker, 27, of West Seneca, New York. Baker died in Baghdad, Iraq, when a vehicle-borne improvised
explosive device detonated near his security patrol. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 10th
Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York. Died on November 7, 2004.

Spc. Ronald W. Baker, 34, of Cabot, Arkansas. Baker died in Landstuhl, Germany, of injuries sustained on October 7,
2004 in Taji, Iraq, when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his patrol vehicle. He was assigned
to the 39th Support Battalion, Arkansas National Guard, Lonoke, Arkansas. Died on October 13, 2004.

Spc. Ryan T. Baker, 24, of Brown Mills, New Jersey. Baker died when two 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) UH-60
Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, 101st
Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on November 15, 2003.

Sgt. Sherwood R. Baker, 30, of Plymouth, Pennsylvania. Baker died in Baghdad, Iraq, by a large explosion while
performing site security. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's Company B, 2nd Battalion, 103rd Armor
Regiment, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. Died on April 26, 2004.

1st Lt. Kenneth Michael Ballard, 26, of Mountain View, California. Ballard died in Najaf, Iraq, during a firefight with
insurgents. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 37th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Division, Friedburg, Germany. Died
on May 30, 2004.

Spc. Solomon C. Bangayan, 24, of Jay, Vermont. Bangayan died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his convoy was ambushed by
the enemy who used an improvised explosive device, small arms fire, and a rocket-propelled grenade. He was assigned
to 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on January
2, 2004.

Lt. Col. Dominic R. Baragona, 42, of Ohio. Killed in Iraq. A tractor-trailer jackknifed on the road and collided with
Baragona's HMMWV causing his death. Baragona was assigned to 19th Maintenance Battalion, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
Died on May 19, 2003.

Pfc. Mark A. Barbret, 22, of Shelby Township, Michigan. Barbret died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when an improvised explosive
device detonated near his convoy. He was assigned to 44th Engineer Battalion, Camp Howze, Korea. Died on October
14, 2004.

Pfc. Collier E. Barcus, 21, of McHenry, Illinois. Barcus was looking for survivors in the Iraqi National Guard
Headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq after it was destroyed by a suicide car bomber, when it came under a mortar attack. He
was assigned to 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on July 8, 2004.

Sgt. Michael C. Barkey, 22, of Canal Fulton, Ohio. Barkey died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when the disabled vehicle they
were towing blew a tire, causing the driver of their vehicle to lose control, hit a cement barrier, and overturn. He was
assigned to the Army National Guard's 1484th Transportation Company, Akron, Ohio. Died on July 7, 2004.

Spc. Jonathan P. Barnes, 21, of Anderson, Missouri. Barnes was killed as a result of a grenade being thrown from a
window of an Iraqi civilian hospital that he was guarding in Ba'qubah, Iraq. He was assigned to Headquarters and
Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on July 26,
2003.

1st Lt. Christopher W. Barnett, 32, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Barnett died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised
explosive device detonated near his military vehicle. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 156th
Armor Regiment, 256th Brigade Combat Team, Shreveport, Louisiana. Died on December 23, 2004.

Command Sgt. Maj. Edward C. Barnhill, 50, of Shreveport, Louisiana. Barnhill died in Baghdad, Iraq, of non-combat
related injuries. He was assigned to the Army Reserve's 431st Civil Affairs Battalion, North Little Rock, Arkansas. Died
on May 14, 2004.

Sgt. Michael Paul Barrera, 26, of Von Ormy, Texas. Barrera was fatally injured when his tank was hit with an
improvised explosive device in Baqubah, Iraq. Barrera was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, Fort
Hood, Texas. Died on October 28, 2003.

Spc. Todd M. Bates, 20, of Bellaire, Ohio. Bates was on a river patrol on the Tigris River south of Baghdad, Iraq,
December 10, 2003 when his squad leader fell overboard. Bates dived into the water and did not surface. He was
originally listed in a duty status whereabouts unknown status. Bates' body was subsequently recovered and his status
changed to deceased on December 23, 2003. He was assigned to the 135th Military Police Company, Army National
Guard, based in Brookpark, Ohio.

Sgt. 1st Class Michael Battles, Sr., 38, of San Antonio, Texas. Battles died in Baghdad, Iraq, when a vehicle-borne
improvised explosive device detonated near his checkpoint. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 21st Field Artillery
Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on October 28, 2004.

Staff Sgt. Steven G. Bayow, 42, of Colonia Yap, Federated States of Micronesia. Bayow died in Bayji, Iraq, when an
improvised explosive device hit his vehicle. He was assigned to the 2d Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry
Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on February 4, 2005.

Spc. Alan N. Bean, Jr., 22, of Bridport, Vermont. Bean died in Forward Operating Base Kalsu (Iskandariyah, Iraq,)
when his unit came under mortar attack. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 86th Field Artillery,
based in Williston, Vermont. Died on May 25, 2004.

Spc. Bradley S. Beard, 22, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Beard died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when an improvised explosive
device detonated near his convoy. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division,
Camp Red Cloud, Korea. Died on October 14, 2004.

Spc. Beau R. Beaulieu, 20, of Lisbon, Maine. Beaulieu died in Taji, Iraq, during a mortar attack on Camp Cooke. He
was assigned to the 27th Main Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on May 24, 2004.

Pfc. Gunnar D. Becker, 19, of Forestburg, South Dakota. Becker died in Mosul, Iraq, of non-combat related injuries.
He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 63rd Armor Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck, Germany. Died on January 13,
2005.

Spc. James L. Beckstrand, 27, of Escondido, California. Beckstrand died in Baghdad, Iraq, when a vehicle
approached his unit and the driver detonated a bomb. He was assigned to 4th Battalion, 27th Field Artillery Regiment,
1st Armored Division, Baumholder, Germany. Died on April 29, 2004.

Cpl. Joseph O. Behnke, 45, of Brooklyn, New York. Behnke died in Baghdad, Iraq, when he was in a vehicle accident.
He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 258th Field Artillery Regiment, Brooklyn, New York. Died on
December 4, 2004.

Sgt. Gregory A. Belanger, 24, of Narragansett, Rhode Island. An improvised explosive device struck Belanger's
vehicle in Al Hallia, Iraq. Belanger died of his injuries. Belanger was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters
Service Company, 325th Military Intelligence Battalion, U.S. Army Reserves, Ayer, Massachusetts. Died on August 27,
2003.

Sgt. Aubrey D. Bell, 33, of Tuskegee, Alabama. Bell was killed in action at the Al Bayra Police Station in Baghdad, Iraq
when his unit came under small arms fire and an improvised explosive device detonated at his location. He was assigned
to the 214th Military Police Company, Alabama National Guard. Died on October 27, 2003.

Spc. Katrina L. Bell-Johnson, 32, of Orangeburg, South Carolina. Bell-Johnson died in Ba'qubah, Iraq, when she was
involved in a vehicle accident. She was assigned to the 418th Transportation Company, 180th Transportation Battalion,
Fort Hood, Texas. Died on February 16, 2005.

Pfc. Wilfred D. Bellard, 20, of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Killed when his vehicle fell into a ravine. He was assigned to
the 41st Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on April 4, 2003.

Staff Sgt. Joseph P. Bellavia, 28, of Wakefield, Massachusetts. Bellavia and other soldiers were attempting to
negotiate with armed men who were congregating after curfew on a road near a mosque in Karbala, Iraq. The Iraqis
opened fire killing three soldiers and wounding seven others. He was assigned to the 716th Military Police Battalion,
101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on October 16, 2003.

Pfc. Stephen C. Benish, 20, of Clark, New Jersey. Benish died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when he received enemy fire while
on a dismounted patrol. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd
Infantry Division, Camp Howze, Korea. Died on November 28, 2004.

Sgt. 1st Class William M. Bennett, 35, of Seymour, Tennessee. Bennett died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq of wounds received
when his unit executed a raid on enemy forces. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort
Campbell, Kentucky. Died on September 12, 2003.

Spc. Robert T. Benson, 20, of Spokane, Washington. Benson died in Baghdad, Iraq from a non-hostile gunshot
wound. He was assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 35th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Division, Smith Barracks,
Germany. Died on November 4, 2003.

Spc. Bradley J. Bergeron, 25, of Houma, Louisiana. Bergeron died in Baghdad, Iraq when an improvised explosive
device struck his Bradley fighting vehicle. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 256th Infantry Brigade
(Mechanized), Lafayette, Louisiana. Died on January 6, 2005.

1st Lt. David R. Bernstein, 24, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Bernstein was killed in action in Taza, Iraq, when enemy
forces ambushed his patrol using rocket propelled grenades and small arms fire. He was assigned to 1st Battalion
(Airborne), 508th Infantry Regiment, 173rd Infantry Brigade, Camp Ederle, Italy. Died on October 18, 2003.

Spc. Joel L. Bertoldie, 20, of Independence, Missouri. Bertoldie was thrown from the military vehicle he was driving in
Fallujah, Iraq when an explosive device was detonated underneath. Bertoldie was assigned to Headquarters,
Headquarters Company, 4-64 Armor Battalion, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on July 18, 2003.

Staff Sgt. Stephen A. Bertolino, 40, of Orange, California. Bertolino was traveling in a convoy in Husaybah, Iraq when
his vehicle was hit by enemy fire. He was assigned to Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Troop, Regimental Support
Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on November 29, 2003.

Cpl. Mark A. Bibby, 25, of Watha, North Carolina. Bibby was in a convoy to a water treatment facility when an
improvised explosive device exploded in Baghdad, Iraq. Bibby was assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters
Detachment, 422 Civil Affairs Battalion, Greensboro, North Carolina. Died on July 21, 2003.

Sgt. Benjamin W. Biskie, 27, of Tucson, Arizona. Biskie died when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device
on Highway One near Samarra, Iraq. He was assigned to the 5th Engineer Battalion, 1st Engineer Brigade, Fort Leonard
Wood, Missouri. Died on December 24, 2003.

Sgt. Jarrod W. Black, 26, of Peru, Indiana. Black died of injuries sustained when his convoy was hit by an improvised
explosive devise in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, Fort Riley, Kansas.
Died on December 12, 2003.

CW2 Michael T. Blaise, 29, of Tennessee. Blaise died when his OH-58 Kiowa Warrior helicopter crashed on its way
back from a combat mission near Mosul in northern Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 17th Cavalry Regiment,
101st Aviation Brigade, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on January 23, 2004.

Capt. Ernesto M. Blanco, 28, of Texas. Blanco was conducting a support mission when an improvised explosive
device hit his vehicle in Qaryat Ash Shababi, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment,
82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on December 28, 2003.

Command Sgt. Maj. James D. Blankenbecler, 40, of Alexandria, Virginia. Blankenbecler was in a convoy that was hit
by an improvised explosive device and rocket propelled grenades in Samarra, Iraq. Blankenbecler died of his injuries.
He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on October 1, 2003.

Spc. Joseph M. Blickenstaff, 23, of Corvallis, Oregon. Blickenstaff was in a Stryker vehicle when it flipped into a canal
in Ad Duluiyah, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd
Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Washington. Died on December 8, 2003.

Pfc. Nicholas H. Blodgett, 21, of Wyoming, Michigan. Blodgett died in Abdalluyah, Iraq, when his patrol vehicle hit an
improvised explosive device. He was assigned to 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on
July 21, 2004.

Sgt. Trevor A. Blumberg, 22, of Canton, Michigan. Blumberg was on patrol when two improvised explosive devices
struck his vehicle in Baghdad, Iraq. Blumberg was assigned to 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd
Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on September 14, 2003.

Sgt. Michael L. Boatright, 24, of Whitesboro, Texas. Boatright died in Baghdad, Iraq, when he was struck by an
improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 20th Engineer Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
Died on December 4, 2004.

Sgt. Dennis J. Boles, 46, of Homosassa, Florida. Boles died in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, when he was participating in a
10-mile road march and collapsed. He was assigned to 171st Aviation Battalion, Army National Guard, Brooksville,

Sgt. 1st Class Craig A. Boling, 38, of Elkhart, Indiana. Boling died of a non-combat related cause in Camp Wolf,

Sgt. 1st Class Kelly Bolor, 37, of Whittier, California. Bolor died when two 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) UH-60

Reserve, South El Monte, California. Died on November 15, 2003.

Capt. Orlando A. Bonilla, 27, of Killeen, Texas. Bonilla died in Baghdad, Iraq, in a helicopter accident. He was

detonated near his Stryker military vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade,
25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Fort Lewis, Washington. Died on May 10, 2005.

Spc. Kyle A. Brinlee, 21, of Pryor, Oklahoma. Brinlee died in Al Asad, Iraq, when his convoy vehicle struck an
improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's Detachment 1, Company B, 120th Combat
Engineer Battalion, Pryor, Oklahoma. Died on May 11, 2004.

Staff Sgt. Cory W. Brooks, 32, of Philip, South Dakota. Brooks died in Baghdad, Iraq, of non-combat related injuries.
He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 153rd Engineer Battalion, based in Winner, South Dakota. Died on April
24, 2004.

Staff Sgt. William J. Brooks, 30, of Birmingham, Alabama. Brooks died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his unit was conducting
a route security mission and an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV. He was assigned to the 1st
Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on May 3, 2005.

Sgt. Thomas F. Broomhead, 34, of Cannon City, Colorado. Broomhead was on guard at a checkpoint in Al Fallujah,
Iraq when a vehicle pulled up and assailants fired on him. Broomhead was assigned to 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armor
Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on May 27, 2003.

Sgt. Andrew W. Brown, 22, of Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania. Brown died in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained on
October 1, 2004 when his patrol vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to 1st Battalion,
509th Infantry, Fort Polk, Louisiana. Died on October 8, 2004.

Cpl. Henry L. Brown, 22, of Natchez, Mississippi. Died of wounds received from an enemy rocket attack south of
Baghdad. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 64th Field Armor Regiment, Fort
Stewart, Georgia. Died on April 8, 2003.

Spc. Lunsford B. Brown II, 27, of Creedmore, North Carolina. Brown was killed in a mortar attack in Abu Gareeb, Iraq.
He was assigned to A Company, 302nd Military Intelligence Battalion, Patton Barracks, Germany. Died on September
20, 2003.

Pfc. John E. Brown, 21, of Troy, Alabama. Killed in Iraq when a grenade exploded inside his HMMWV. He was
assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on April 14, 2003.

Pfc. Timmy R. Brown, Jr., 21, of Conway, Pennsylvania. rown was in a convoy in Taji, Iraq when he was injured by an
explosive device. Brown died of his injuries. Brown was assigned to D Company, 519th Military Intelligence Battalion,
Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on August 12, 2003.

Spc. Larry K. Brown, 22, of Jackson, Mississippi. Killed in action in Iraq. He was assigned to C Company, 1st Battalion,
41st Infantry Regiment, Fort Riley, Kansas. Died on April 5, 2003.

Pfc. Nathan P. Brown, 21, of South Glens Falls, New York. Brown died in Samarra, Iraq, when his patrol was
ambushed. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry, 1st Armored Division, Glens
Falls, New York. Died on April 11, 2004.

Spc. Philip D. Brown, 21, of Jamestown, North Dakota.
Brown died in Balad, Iraq, from injuries sustained by an improvised explosive device west of Samarra. He was assigned
to the Army National Guard's Company B, 141st Engineer Combat Battalion, Jamestown, North Dakota. Died on May 8,
2004.

1st Lt. Tyler H. Brown, 26, of Atlanta, Georgia. Brown died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his unit was attacked by enemy
forces using small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp
Hovey, Tongduchon City, Korea. Died on September 14, 2004.

Spc. Travis R. Bruce, 22, of Byron, Minnesota. Bruce died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an enemy mortar round detonated
near his guard position. Bruce was assigned to the 170th Military Police Company, 504th Military Police Battalion, Fort
Lewis, Washington. Died on March 23, 2005.

Sgt. Jack Bryant, Jr., 23, of Dale City, Virginia. Bryant died in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device
detonated near his military convoy followed by an enemy rocket-propelled grenade attack. He was assigned to the 3rd
Brigade Fire Support Team (1st Battalion, 6th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Infantry Division), Vilseck, Germany. Died on
November 20, 2004.

2nd Lt. Todd J. Bryant, 23, of Riverside, California. Bryant was on patrol in Al Fallujah, Iraq when an improvised
explosive device exploded. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley,
Kansas. Died on October 31, 2003.

Staff Sgt. Ernest G. Bucklew, 33, of Enon Valley, Pennsylvania. Bucklew was on board a CH-47 Chinook Helicopter
when it went down in Al Fallujah, Iraq. The cause of the incident is unknown and an investigation is underway. He was
assigned to Support Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on November 2, 2003.

Spc. Roy Russell Buckley, 24, of Portage, Indiana. Buckley was aboard a M818 truck traveling in a convoy when he
exited the passenger compartment, climbed into the trailer and did not return. Buckley was discovered lying on the side
of the road with serious injuries. Medical aid was summoned and he was pronounced dead. Buckley was assigned to the
685th Transportation Company, Hobart, Indiana. Died on April 22, 2003.

Spc. Paul J. Bueche, 19, of Daphne, Alabama. Bueche was changing a tire on a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter in Balad,
Iraq when the tire exploded. He was assigned to the 131st Aviation Regiment, Army National Guard, Birmingham,
Alabama. Died on October 21, 2003.

Lt. Col. Charles H. Buehring, 40, of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Buehring was fatally injured during a rocket-propelled
grenade attack on the Al-Rasheed Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq. He was assigned to Army Central Command Headquarters
(Forward), Fort McPherson, Georgia. Died on October 26, 2003.

Sgt. George Edward Buggs, 31, of Barnwell, South Carolina. Killed in action after his convoy was ambushed in Iraq on
March 23, 2003. He was assigned to the 3rd Forward Support Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Cpl. Jimmy D. Buie, 43, of Floral, Arkansas. Buie died in Taji, Iraq, when an improvised explosive devise detonated
near his military vehicle. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 3rd Battalion, 153rd Infantry Regiment, 39th
Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Fordyce, Arkansas. Died on January 4, 2005.

Spc. Joshua I. Bunch, 23, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Bunch died in Baghdad, Iraq, when individuals using small arms
fire and rocket-propelled grenades attacked his vehicle. He was assigned to the 91st Engineer Battalion, 1st Cavalry
Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on August 6, 2004.

Staff Sgt. Christopher Bunda, 29, of Washington. Bunda was originally listed as Duty Status Whereabouts Unknown
(DUSTWUN) when his boat capsized during a river patrol on the Tigris River on January 25, 2004. His remains were
recovered on February 10, 2004. Bunda was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry, Fort Lewis, Washington.

Staff Sgt. Michael L. Burbank, 34, of Bremerton, Washington. Burbank died in Mosul, Iraq, when an improvised
explosive device detonated near his Stryker military vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 14th Cavalry
Regiment, Fort Lewis, Washington. Died on October 11, 2004.

Staff Sgt. Richard A. Burdick, 24, of National City, California. Burdick was in a convoy when his vehicle was hit by an
improvised explosive device in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to Company C, 3rd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd
Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on December 10, 2003.

Spc. Alan J. Burgess, 24, of Landaff, New Hampshire.
Burgess died in Mosul, Iraq, when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his patrol vehicle. He
was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 197th Field Artillery Brigade, Army National Guard, Woodsville, New Hampshire. Died on
October 15, 2004.

Spc. Taylor J. Burk, 21, of Amarillo, Texas. Burk died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device struck his
vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on
January 26, 2005.

Sgt. Travis L. Burkhardt, 26, of Edina, Missouri. Burkhardt was part of an escort mission when the vehicle he was in hit
a curb along the road and rolled over in Baghdad, Iraq. Burkhardt was assigned to 170th Military Police Company, Fort
Lewis, Washington. Died on June 6, 2003.

Pfc. Jesse R. Buryj, 21, of Canton, Ohio. Buryj died in Karbala, Iraq, when his military vehicle was struck by a dump
truck whose driver had been shot while trying to run through a control point. He was assigned to the 66th Military Police
Company, Fort Lewis, Washington. Died on May 5, 2004.

Pfc. Charles E. Bush, Jr., 43, of Buffalo, New York. Bush was in a convoy in Balad, Iraq when his vehicle was hit by an
improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 402nd Civil Affairs Battalion, 354th Civil Affairs Brigade, 352nd Civil
Affairs Command, U.S. Army Reserve, based in Riverdale Park, Maryland. Died on December 19, 2003.

Pvt. Matthew D. Bush, 20, of East Alton, Illinois. A fellow soldier tried to wake Bush at Camp Caldwell, Iraq and noticed
he was not breathing. Bush was assigned to F Troop, 1st Squadron, 10th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.
Died on August 8, 2003.

Pfc. Damian S. Bushart, 22, of Waterford, Michigan. Bushart died of injuries sustained when a tank collided with his
vehicle in Baghdad, Iraq. He was assigned to A Troop, 1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Division,
Armstrong Barracks, Germany. Died on November 22, 2003.

Sgt. Jacob Butler, 24, of Wellsville, Kansas. Killed in action in Assamawah, Iraq, when his convoy came under attack
by RPG and small arms fire. He was assigned to Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, Fort
Riley, Kansas. Died on April 1, 2003.

Capt. Joshua T. Byers, 29, of Nevada. Byers was killed in action when his convoy hit an explosive device east of
Baghdad, Iraq. Byers was assigned to Fox Troop, 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment, Fort Carson,
Colorado. Died on July 23, 2003.
