Spc. Charles R. Lamb, 23, of Casey, Illinois. Lamb died in Baghdad, Iraq, during a mortar attack. He was assigned to

Spc. James I. Lambert III, 22, of Raleigh, North Carolina. Lambert was struck by a stray bullet fired during what was
believed to be a celebratory event by local nationals in Baghdad, Iraq. Lambert was assigned to the 407th Combat
Support Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on July 31, 2003.
Pfc. James P. Lambert, 23, of New Orleans, Louisiana. Lambert died in Fallujah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive
device hit his patrol. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 62nd Air Defense Artillery, 10th Mountain Division (Light
Infantry), Fort Drum, New York. Died on May 25, 2004.
Staff Sgt. Sean G. Landrus, 31, of Thompson, Ohio. Landrus died at the 28th Combat Support Hospital in Iraq as a
result of injuries sustained on January 27th when a roadside improvised explosive device exploded in Khalidiyah, Iraq.
He was assigned to Company B, 1st Engineer Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division (Mech), Fort
Riley, Kansas. Died on January 29, 2004.
Spc. Tracy L. Laramore, 30, of Okaloosa, Florida. Laramore died in Baji, Iraq, of injuries sustained when his Bradley
Fighting Vehicle went over an embankment and flipped over in the river. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 18th
Infantry Regiment, Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on March 17, 2004.
Pfc. Cole W. Larsen, 19, of Canyon Country, California. Larsen died in Baghdad, Iraq, when a civilian vehicle struck his
military vehicle causing it to roll over. He was assigned to the 272nd Military Police Company, 21st Theater Support
Command, Mannheim, Germany. Died on November 13, 2004.
Spc. Scott Q. Larson, Jr., 22, of Houston, Texas. Larson died in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained when his convoy
was ambushed. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 37th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Armor Division, Ray Barracks,
Friedberg, Germany. Died on April 5, 2004.
CWO Matthew C. Laskowski, 32, of Phoenix, Arizona. Laskowski died in Habbinayah, Iraq, when the OH-58 helicopter
in which he was flying crashed. He was assigned to the 4th Squadron, Outlaw Troop, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment,
Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on February 25, 2004.
Staff Sgt. William T. Latham, 29, of Kingman, Arizona. Latham was participating in a raid at a suspected arms market
in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, on May 19 when he was hit with shrapnel. Latham was evacuated back to the United States where he
died of his wounds at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Washington, D.C. He was assigned to Troop E, 2nd
Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on June 18, 2003.
Pfc. Karina S. Lau, 20, of Livingston, California. Lau was on board a CH-47 Chinook Helicopter when it went down in Al
Fallujah, Iraq. The cause of the incident is unknown and an investigation is underway. She was assigned to the 16th
Signal Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on November 2, 2003.
Staff Sgt. Mark A. Lawton, 41, of Hayden, Colorado. Lawton was in a convoy that was hit by a rocket-propelled
grenade north of As Suaydat, Iraq. Lawton was assigned to the 244th Engineer Battalion, U.S. Army Reserve, Grand
Junction, Colorado. Died on August 29, 2003.
Spc. Jeff LeBrun, 21, of Buffalo, New York. LeBrun died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his military vehicle was struck by an
improvised explosive device. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 15th Field Artillery Regiment, 10th Mountain Division
(Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York. Died on January 1, 2005.
CWO Patrick D. Leach, 39, of Rock Hill, South Carolina. Leach died in Mosul, Iraq after being involved in an Apache
helicopter accident. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 151st Aviation Regiment, South Carolina National Guard,
Columbia, South Carolina. Died on December 9, 2004.
Staff Sgt. Rene Ledesma, 34, of Abelene, Texas. Ledesma died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive
device exploded near his Bradley Fighting Vehicle. He was assigned to 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry
Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on May 15, 2004.
Sgt. Carl W. Lee, 23, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Oklahoma died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his unit was conducting a
dismounted patrol and encountered enemy forces using small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503rd
Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Howze, Korea. Died on November 28, 2004.
Pfc. Samuel S. Lee, 19, of Anaheim, California. Lee died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, from non-combat related injuries. He was
assigned to 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Greaves, Korea. Died on March 28,

Pfc. Ken W. Leisten, 20, of Cornelius, Oregon. Leisten died in Taji, Iraq, when his vehicle struck an improvised
explosive device. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 2nd Battalion, 162nd Infantry, Corvallis, Oregon. Died
on July 28, 2004.
Staff Sgt. Jerome Lemon, 42, of North Charleston, South Carolina. Lemon died in Balad, Iraq, when a vehicle-borne
improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle. He was assigned to 1052nd Transportation Company,
Army National Guard, Kingstree, South Carolina. Died on October 27, 2004.
Spc. Cedric L. Lennon, 32, of West Blocton, Alabama. Lennon died from a non-combat related cause in Baghdad,
Iraq. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Pfc. Jesus A. Leon-Perez, 20, of Houston, Texas. Leon-Perez died in Mohammed Sacran, Iraq, when his Bradley

Spc. Farao K. Letufuga, 20, of Pago Pago, American Samoa. Letufuga fatally fell from the top of a building while he
was performing guard duty in Mosul, Iraq. Letufuga was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd
Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on August 5,
2003.
Pfc. Lee A. Lewis, Jr., 28, of Norfolk, Virginia. Lewis died in Sadr City, Iraq, when his patrol was attacked by enemy
small arms fire. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Sgt. Jesse M. Lhotka, 24, of Alexandria, Minnesota. Lhotka died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive
device detonated as he was exiting his military vehicle after it had rolled over. He was assigned to the Army National
Guard's 1st Battalion, 151st Field Artillery, 34th Infantry Division, Montevideo, Minnesota. Died on February 21, 2005.
Spc. Justin W. Linden, 22, of Portland, Oregon. Linden died in Baghdad, Iraq, when individuals using improvised
explosive devices and rocket-propelled grenades attacked his convoy. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's
2nd Battalion, 162nd Infantry, Cottage Grove, Oregon. Died on June 4, 2004.
Spc. Roger G. Ling, 20, of Douglaston, New York. Ling died of injuries sustained from small arms fire and an
improvised explosive device attack in Khalidiyah, Iraq. He was assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 34th Armor
Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, Fort Riley, Kansas. Died on February 19, 2004.
Spc. Josph L. Lister, 22, of Pleasanton, Kansas. Lister was in a convoy when his vehicle was hit by an improvised
explosive device in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 34th Armored Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Fort
Riley, Kansas. Died on November 20, 2003.
Staff Sgt. Tommy S. Little, 47, of Aliceville, Alabama. Little died at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas,
of injuries sustained on April 19, 2005 near Iskandariyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his
HMMWV. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 2nd Battalion, 114th Field Artillery Regiment, Columbus,
Mississippi. Died on May 2, 2005.
Staff Sgt. Nino D. Livaudais, 23, of Utah. Died as a result of severe injuries in Iraq. He was assigned to A Company,
3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia. Died on April 3, 2003.
Sgt. Dale T. Lloyd, 22, of Watsontown, Pennsylvania. Lloyd died in Iskanderia, Iraq, when multiple mortars rounds hit
his forward operating base. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry, 1st Brigade, 10th Mountain Division (Light
Infantry), Fort Drum, New York. Died on July 19, 2004.
Sgt. Daniel J. Londono, 22, of Boston, Massachusetts. Londono died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive
device struck his military vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division,
Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on March 13, 2004.
Spc. Ryan P. Long, 21, of Seaford, Delaware. Died as a result of severe injuries in Iraq. He was assigned to A
Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia. Died on April 3, 2003.
Spc. Zachariah W. Long, 20, of Milton, Pennsylvania. Spc. Long was traveling in a three-vehicle convoy during a storm
from Mosul to Tikrit (2 HUMMVs, 1 light medium tactical vehicle). A civilian vehicle dodged a pothole causing the
HUMMVs to swerve. There was not enough stopping distance between the vehicles causing the LMTV to swerve off the
road and turn over, causing the death of Long and two other soldiers. He was assigned to the 519th Military Intelligence
Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on May 30, 2003.
Pfc. Duane E. Longstreth, 19, of Tacoma, Washington. Longstreth died as a result of non-combat related injuries in
Baghdad, Iraq. Longstreth was assigned to Company B, 307th Engineer Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on
August 7, 2003.
Spc. Manuel Lopez III, 20, of Cape Coral, Florida. Lopez died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his HMMWV was struck by a
rocket-propelled grenade. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort
Stewart, Georgia. Died on April 12, 2005.
Staff Sgt. David L. Loyd, 44, of Jackson, Tennessee. Loyd was on a mission when he experienced severe chest pains.
The soldier was sent to the Kuwait hospital where he was pronounced dead. Loyd was assigned to the 1175th
Transportation Company, Army National Guard, Brownsville, Tennessee. Died on August 5, 2003.
Sgt. Angelo L. Lozada, Jr., 36, of Brooklyn, New York. Lozada died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, while conducting combat
operations. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry
Division, Camp Hovey, Korea. Died on April 16, 2005.
Capt. Robert L. Lucero, 34, of Casper, Wyoming. Lucero died and another soldier was injured when they were struck
by an improvised explosive device in Tikrit, Iraq. Lucero was assigned to the 4th Infantry Division Rear Area Operation
Center, U.S. Army National Guard, Casper, Wyoming. Died on September 25, 2003.
Pfc. Jason C. Ludlam, 22, of Arlington, Texas. Ludlam died in Ba'qubah, Iraq, when he was electrocuted while laying
telephone wires. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, based in Vilseck,
Germany. Died on March 19, 2004.
Pfc. Kevin M. Luna, 26, of Oxnard, California. Luna died in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, from non-combat related injuries. He was
assigned to the 1st Battalion, 63rd Armor Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck, Germany. Died on January 27, 2005.
Capt. Joe F. Lusk II, 25, of Reedley, California. Lusk died in Camp Buehring, Kuwait, of non-combat related injuries. He
was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on January 21, 2005.
Spc. Derrick J. Lutters, 24, of Burlington, Colorado. Lutters died along a supply route in Iraq when a vehicle-borne
improvised explosive device detonated while his unit was inspecting a bridge for enemy tampering. He was assigned to
the Army National Guard's 891st Engineer Brigade, Pittsburg, Kansas. Died on May 1, 2005.
Spc. Wai P. Lwin, 27, of Queens, New York. Lwin died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device
detonated near his military vehicle. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment,
Manhattan, New York, New York. Died on March 2, 2005.
Pfc. Jason N. Lynch, 21, of St. Croix, Virgin Islands. Lynch died in Buhriz, Iraq, of small arms fire wounds he received
as his unit was engaging the enemy. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Field Artillery, 1st Infantry Division, Bamberg,
Germany. Died on June 18, 2004.
